About Us
The Camp believes that family involvement is an important element of treatment for both the client and the family. Intensive family weekends are held to educate both families and clients on the disease of addiction and to prepare for a future in recovery.
The full continuum of care at The Camp includes detoxification, rehabilitation, day treatment, intensive outpatient programs, an aftercare program and an active alumni group. Our treatment is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of professionals dedicated and passionate about recovery.A specialized program for adolescents is provided at The Camp’s Meadow Lodge. Our treatment specialists use a dynamic mixture of methods to reach youth, including a ROPES course, experiential therapies, individual, group and recreational therapies, and gender-specific and mixed groups. Time, creativity and information help adolescents see the possibility and potential of clean and sober living.
Recovery Means Life!
"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."
The Camp respects and admires the courage in taking the first step in the journey to overcoming chemical dependency. Recovery is more than just stopping an addictive behavior; it is creating a new lifestyle filled with fresh insights and living skills.
The Camp is renowned and respected for its compassion and treatment approach, emphasizing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual transformation of the individual. Its peaceful 25-acre Santa Cruz Mountains environment provides a healing, supportive environment with the highest level of confidentiality.
Individualized treatment incorporates medical and mental health services, 12-Step philosophy and principles, the Gorski/CENAPS relapse prevention methodology and a full range of traditional, experiential, and integrative therapies. Through education, problem solving, individual and group counseling, art and recreational activities, the individual learns how to analyze his or her own personal chemical dependency and life history, and gain the recovery skills needed to break this vicious cycle.
The Camp is committed to helping build a strong foundation for recovery and relapse prevention that continues for the rest of the individual’s alcohol and drug-free life.
