Grief Counseling Therapeutic Schools & Programs

Grief and loss can overpower a teen's coping mechanisms, leading to depression, social withdrawal and stress. Without bereavement counseling or grief support, it can be difficult for teens to return to life as they knew it. Depending on how close your child was to the person they lost - either through death or some other kind of physical separation - family counseling or individual therapy may be necessary for healing. Supporting teens as they progress through the stages of grief can ease the pain of bereavement. Many of the short-term programs listed here are equipped to support teens as they grieve.
