Asperger's Syndrome Therapeutic Schools & Programs

Asperger’s syndrome, also known as Asperger syndrome, is increasingly being diagnosed as we learn more about cognitive functioning. Marked by difficulties in social interactions, a perceived lack of empathy, and less developed fine motor skills, teens with Asperger’s may have difficulty fitting in and experience frustration and anger as a result. While adults often decide not to seek treatment, children and teens with Asperger’s may benefit from a combination of behavioral treatment and therapy to improve social and interpersonal skills. Residential boarding schools and ongoing treatment programs can be very beneficial.
